Signing Summary
August 22, 2025, a leisure snack brand Having both zero and food, together with the School of Physical Science and Technology at Xiamen University. Officially held in Xiamen Signing Ceremony for the Strategic Cooperation on Freeze-Dried Fruit R&D and Inauguration of the Practice Base Chen Shiwei, CEO of UrSnacks, and Professor Xu from the School of Physics Science and Technology at Xiamen University, as representatives of both sides, jointly signed the agreement and unveiled the plaque. Dr. Yang from Xiamen University, along with faculty and student representatives from the School of Physics Science and Technology, as well as key members of UrSnacks supply chain and brand‑center teams, attended the event.
This collaboration marks the official launch of a deep industry–university–research model between UrSnacks and the academic community in the field of freeze-dried foods. The two parties will jointly tackle core freeze-drying technologies, paving the way for translating scientific breakthroughs from the laboratory into industrial applications.

Three Major Joint Research Directions
This strategic partnership focuses on the following three core issues:
1. Nutrient‑Preserving Freshness — Optimized freeze‑drying curves retain over 90% of the fruit’s original nutrients.
Leveraging Xiamen University’s strengths in fundamental research in physics, the two parties will jointly optimize freeze-drying process parameters, overcoming the limitations of conventional freeze-drying technologies in terms of nutrient retention. The goal is to… Preserving the cellular structure of fruits at the nanoscale , by optimizing the ice crystal growth pathway to achieve microscopic freshness preservation, the nutrient retention rate of the finished product exceeds 90%.
2. Flavor Restoration — Natural Flavor Regulation Technology with Zero Additives
Using physical methods to achieve precise control over acidity and sweetness, in No additives Under these conditions, we restore the authentic taste and texture of fruit as if it had been freshly picked from the tree. At the same time, we’ve developed a “origin–variety–process” matching model that precisely captures the terroir characteristics of fruits from different regions, ensuring that each freeze‑dried fruit retains its own distinctive flavor profile.
3. The Research-Development-Commercialization Loop: Rapid Technology Transfer from the Lab to the Shelf
Establish a complete closed-loop pathway, spanning theoretical research, experimental validation, and engineering-scale mass production. Through the practice‑base platform, bridge the gap between university research outcomes and enterprise production lines. Seamless integration , significantly shortening the technology commercialization cycle.
Pioneering a new category of “fourth-generation fruit products”
This strategic partnership with the School of Physics Science and Technology at Xiamen University embodies UrSnacks relentless pursuit of product quality. The goal of this collaboration extends beyond technological breakthroughs to… Category innovation ——Pioneering with both Nutritional value of fresh fruit and the convenience of processed foods Our “fourth-generation fruit products” deliver truly “delicious, nutritious, and convenient” freeze-dried fruit to consumers.
At the same time, the two parties will jointly build an industry‑wide win‑win ecosystem featuring “university R&D—enterprise commercialization—farmer benefits,” extending the value of cutting‑edge technologies from the laboratory to the fields and benefiting the entire industrial chain.
About the two cooperating parties
There is both zero and food. The brand was founded in Quanzhou, Fujian, and is Combining strong in-house brand capabilities with end-to-end supply chain expertise. A food technology company. Centered on freeze‑drying technology, we are building a premium brand of freeze‑dried snack foods that consumers love, while also providing the industry with specialized freeze‑dried ingredients and customized production services. Leveraging the dual strengths of cutting‑edge technology and an advanced supply chain, we are redefining the value of freeze‑dried foods.
School of Physical Science and Technology, Xiamen University Affiliated with Xiamen University, a university under the “Double First-Class” initiative, it has consistently leveraged industry–university–research collaboration in innovation and entrepreneurship as a driving force to translate scientific research into industrial value, demonstrating distinct strengths in both fundamental research and applied development within the field of physics.
